Journey Generator @ sMK
Journey Generator is a play (experience) designed for the visitors at National Gallery of Denmark (SMK).
Create objects of play that address the social forms of the National Gallery of Denmark. Employ creative research strategies derived from different fields to expand notions of play.

Can play transform players? Can play be found inside the social forms of daily life? Can creative practice function as a form of research? Can the creative process itself become an object of play?
Museum is a treasure cave, and the visitor is the explorer. Could play drive them to explore the cave deeper but with more fun?

RESEARCH & IMPLEMENTATION
Working with graduate students at Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (KADK), we explored these and other questions by creating objects of play that address the social forms of the art museum. More specifically, we’ll work with the National Gallery of Denmark. This project will employ creative research strategies derived from social practice art, participatory design, the iterative design process, and other fields to expand notions of play.

Pick the topic
This method give us bunch of ideas. Some of them are ridiculous, but others are fantastic.
We decide to assign visitor paintings by asking random questions to them.
PLAY TEST ONE.
We provide the visitor a guid card which gives visitor a hint
of the painting, and it will be a start point of their whole journey.
Word map is really vague, and it is really hard for people to find the painting.
After the visitor finally find the painting, the experience doesn’t bring any extra information to the visitor.
